Welcome to
The Wild Cherries of Gloucester.
Official Chapter of the Red Hat Society.
A bit about us .....
We are a new chapter of Red Hatters (and Pink Hatters!) based in and around Gloucester, UK. Formed in September 2010.
We are looking for new members who share our interests, to share in our fun, but also welcome new members who might add other interesting ideas to the group. We try to meet every Wednesday during the day, but it's only on that day at that time because it suits us, we can meet on other days and often do, but currently meet on a Wednesday as it's easy to remember and good to have a mid week break! (Days and times can change depending on what the members agree)
So what type of people are we?
- We are interested in green issues, we have an interest in recycling.
- We appreciate home
grown homemade food, some of us enjoy gardening and allotmenting.
- Home
baking is fun, and it’s great to share recipes.
- We are living in the
modern world, yet still value traditional crafts.
- We enjoy a bit of culture and history.
- Friendship is
important; we support each other in our daily lives.
- We like to meet and
chat, laugh and smile, drink tea, or something stronger.
- Being energetic and
active, we get out and about, meeting up just for a cuppa and a chat in
friends houses, doing lunch in the museum café, or garden centre.
- Visiting plays, pantomimes, and craft shows.
- Maybe a trip to a museum
or castle, or just a walk in the countryside.
And of course we love to
dress up!
A note to fellow Hatters ....
If you are a visiting Hatter from another area, you are most welcome to drop in at any of our events, if there isn't
one on the list, contact us to see if we can do an impromptu coffee
meetup!
